Six frames of drawings done by three different age groups.
I imagined myself as a four year old and did the above representation. A four year old can barely hold the pencil the way it should be but is very enthusiastic about things that they identify in their everyday setting for eg. a tree or grass or sun.
A 4 y/o me, on its own will draw something like the one shown above because there is no sense of proportion or display. But under the guidance of an adult, who will guide where to put which color, the result would be something like this shown below.
The fifteen y/o me has learned and studied drawing to some extent and knows some basics of drawing. He will have control over drawing and might know one or two types of pencil or color shading. And the presence of guidance has improved his skills but he still has a lot to learn.
He has learned how to demonstrate depth perception in his drawings.
The eighteen y/o me has learned drawing properly and can make good artworks on my own. He will have control over drawing and knows various visual techniques and understanding of light, shade, perspective and strokes to communicate his idea. And under guidance, he will also have developed the ability to demonstrate his personal goals for the future.
Without guidance - under his own sense
With guidance, learning perspective -
