In this project, we were asked to make a color wheel using the pictures of the daily objects that we see in our surroundings.
The colour theory consists of the color wheel, colour harmony, and the context of how colours are employed. It forms the basis of what is actually the art and science of using color to communicate our ideas and messages.
Color theories give colour a logical structure. It explains how people see colour, as well as the visual impact of colours mixing, matching, and contrasting with one another.
A color wheel presents a logically arranged sequence of pure hues and its mixing. The color wheel consists of 3 categories: primary, secondary and tertiary colours.
My group consisted of Prineeth, SasiDharan, Hemakumar, Karthik, Khushboo and myself. This was our submission.
The one you see below was our attempt to go beyond the confines of the assignment and experiment with different ways of representing the same subject.
While we were being told about the assignment, one of the briefs was to look around and find the shift of color in our own house. The below gradation from yellow to magenta is what I found in my kitchen.
